Dr. Scott Kaul, CRNA, NSPM-C is the owner and founder of Safe and Sound Anesthesia. He is a Nurse Anesthesiologist with over eight years of experience in nurse anesthesiology and is subspecialty trained and board-certified in non-surgical pain management.

Dr. Kaul has a special interest in headache medicine and completed advanced training through Thomas Jefferson University, earning a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Headache Diagnosis and Management in 2025. His clinical focus includes comprehensive pain management and expanding access to high-quality anesthesia and pain services in rural healthcare settings.

In 2024, Dr. Kaul played a key role in advancing the profession by helping draft legislation to modernize the nurse anesthesiology practice act. He also provided expert testimony to the legislative subcommittee, offering clinical and operational insight in support of the bill.

A Kansas native, Dr. Kaul grew up in a small rural town in northeast Kansas. This background shaped his deep understanding of rural communities and fostered a lifelong commitment to serving them. He currently provides pain management services and nurse anesthesia resources to rural hospitals throughout the region.

Dr. Kaul is also passionate about education and professional development. He serves as a fellowship site for a Nurse Anesthesiology Non-Surgical Pain Fellowship Program and provides continuing education (CEU) opportunities for nurses and CRNAs.
